About this project

Total Project Cost: $725,000 ARPA Funds: $400,000 Local Funds: $325,000 Approved: November 22, 2022 The Town of New Boston will use the to replace the existing culvert on Bedford Road at the crossing of Cochran Brook. The crossing at Cochran Brook completely washed out over a decade ago and the roadway was reopened with an emergency repair by the Highway Department. This crossing is still regularly subject to flooding and has been identified as a priority in the Town’s Hazard Mitigation Plan for several years. This agreement will allow the Town to complete the construction of an improved crossing at Cochran Brook that would pass the 100-year storm event and allow aquatic organism passage.
